RSVP CHRISTMAS SOCIAL.

Simon and Lisa Harrison-Smith kindly hosted an Informal Christmas Buffet at Rhuallt Hall. This was a great success and thouroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

Many thanks to Lisa and Simon for all of their efforts and for making everyone so welcome.

CHRISTMAS FLOAT.

The Rotary Club Christmas Float stopped in the Smithy Arms car park on Monday 19th. December. There was a great turnout and Father Christmas had a wonderful welcome. This was followed with mince pies (kindly donated by Carol and Steve) and carol singing. The singing was hearty and cheerful. All in all an evening enjoyed by both children and adults.

THE SMITHY ARMS CHRISTMAS DRAW.

As always this was a splendid night. This year it is in aid of The Special Care Baby Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The amount raised was £800. Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets and donated prizes.

BOXING DAY AT THE WHITE HOUSE.

The White House kindly hosted a fun filled evening. Everyone enjoyed a Tug of War, followed by a family quiz, which was won by Jamie & Matthew Stanley. Gail Edwards would like to thank everybody who bought raffle tickets in aid of her Macchu Piccu Trek.

RHUALLT SOCIAL WEBSITE.

A village web site is being formed. LAD’S & DAD’S FOOTBALL (GIRLS TOO!!) 2006 UPDATE.

The football training sessions are going from strength to strength. The training sessions continue every Sunday at 09.30 on Rhuallt school field and also at St. Asaph lesiure centre, on the new astroturf, on Tuesday evenings at 5.30pm. There is a charge of £1 per player on Tuesday evenings.

Everyone is welcome. The RSVP has contributed to new training bibs and footballs.Many thanks to Chris Armstrong for all his hardwork and dedication. Please look on the website in the near future to see pictures of all our budding footballing legends.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING SURVEY.

Are you concerned about the lack of affordable housing in you area? Here’s your chance to make a difference. Denbighshire County Council, with assistence from the Community Council are conducting a housing needs survey.This will be ciculated shortly so remember to complete and return by 28th. February 2006.

QUIZ NIGHT AT THE SMITHY ARMS.

Carol is organising a quiz night on Thursday 16th. February at 8.30pm. Come and test you general knowledge. All welcome.

RHUALLT CHAPEL SERVICES.

Rhualt Chapel holds a Welsh service every week, as the times vary here is a list for anyone interested. Everyone is welcome.

RSVP 2006.

We need fundraising ideas, ideas for social events or village improvements. Please come to the next meeting or contact someone who is going with your ideas. So far in the pipeline we have a Village Funday in May (Ideas & volunteers needed) and our annual Spring Clean Up (date to be arranged.)

Are you buying bedding plants for your garden this year. If everyone buys one extra for the village it could look quite spectacular. For further information contact Bernard on 01745583204 as he will be coordinating a planting day.
