About
The Rhuallt Social Voluntary Project (RSVP) was founded in Autumn 2003. Its aims are to maintain and improve the village as a nice place to live and to promote community spirit. Regular clean up days have been held in the village, Flower tubs have been bought and filled, and the flag pole donated and erected. The village flag was designed by village children following a competition.
Many social events have been organised including fun days, treasure hunts, a slave auction, trips, carol singing, Easter egg hunts and many more. The Smithy Arms and The White House have both regularly extended their support by hosting events. One particularly successful project is the children’s football training which has proved to be very popular. This takes place every Sunday. Everyone is welcome. The newsletter has proved to be successful, keeping everyone informed of village activities. It has a circulation of more than 100 households.
The RSVP has been funded by donations and fund-raising activities. Its continued success depends upon continued enthusiasm and support. Any contribution however small, of time, enthusiasm or money is always appreciated. The RSVP is a village group and as such belongs to everybody. Each meeting is publicised in the newsletter. Everyone is welcome.
